Privacy policy

Information handled with a synthetic-first product boundary.

This policy describes how GY Labs handles information through Switchbench, its website, waitlist, support channels, and service. Effective 9 August 2026.

Who controls information

GY Labs is the controller of information collected through the Switchbench website, waitlist, and support contact. For a particular service arrangement, your organisation may have its own controller or processor relationship; the applicable agreement and service notices will describe that arrangement.

What we collect

Depending on how you interact with Switchbench, we may collect your name, work email, organisation, role, waitlist preferences, messages, account and service activity, device and browser details, approximate location derived from an IP address, and logs needed to operate and secure the service. Do not submit real PANs, cardholder data, production keys, live credentials, or other production secrets.

Why we use it

We use information to respond to enquiries, manage the waitlist, provide and support accounts, operate and secure Switchbench, understand reliability and demand, prevent misuse, comply with law, and communicate service or policy changes. Where UK GDPR or a similar regime applies, our legal bases may include consent, contract, legitimate interests, and legal obligation as appropriate.

Limited disclosure

We may disclose information to service providers that help with hosting, communications, security, support, and operations, under appropriate instructions and safeguards. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a reorganisation or transaction. We do not sell personal information.

Security and retention

We use measures appropriate to the information and risk, but no method of transmission or storage is guaranteed secure. We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described, legitimate business records, dispute handling, security, and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it when practical.

Transfers and cookies

Service providers may process information in countries outside your own. Where required, we use an appropriate transfer mechanism and safeguards. The site uses essential technologies needed to deliver pages and forms. We do not currently use advertising cookies or analytics cookies on these public pages; if that changes, this policy and any required choices will be updated.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Contact and updates

For privacy questions or rights requests, email support@gylabs.co.uk. We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change; the effective date above identifies the current version.
